Book Layout Check List:  Printed Book

Required information, files:

• Book trim size - printed size of book

• Total number of book pages

• Text, organized by page, including title page, dedication page, illustrated pages, any other specified pages

• Final illustration JPEG files - sized for book trim size at 300dpi with bleed edges built into full page illustrations

• Any further design instructions or requests such as color, font, etc.

Services include:

• Laying out pages with appropriate bleed and gutter.

• Selecting appropriate fonts that contribute to the story telling.

• Combining illustrations and text and a pleasing manner.

• Creating proof files for approval. This will include a list of design choices for discussion or approval.

• Creating a printer ready folder of all required files in printer ready file formats.
